As a member of the Erasmus+ University Charter, the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland offers its staff the opportunity to spend time at a partner university for teaching purposes (Staff Mobility for Teaching) or for further education purposes (Staff Mobility for Training).
The prerequisite is a cooperation agreement (Inter-institutional Agreement) between the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland and the foreign university. The first contact is made by the International Office, details (travel, procedure and content of the mobility) must be organised by you as the applicant.
Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)
- Teaching activity of at least 8 hours per week on at least two (within Europe) or five (outside Europe) consecutive days (excluding travel days).
Staff Mobility for Training (STT)
- Training activity for at least two (within Europe) or five (outside Europe) consecutive days (excl. travel days).
- Staff mobility for training purposes may include, for example, attending staff weeks and networking events or individual job shadowing.
- Staff mobility for training purposes can be undertaken by both administrative staff and teaching staff.
Combined Staff Mobility (STA + STT) - Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training Purposes
- Teaching duties of 4 hours per week combined with in-service training activities
- Teaching and training activities for at least two (within Europe) or five (outside Europe) consecutive days (excluding travel days).
Application process
Before the mobility
- Coordination with the supervisor (content, duration, country)
- Coordination with the partner university (teaching content, registration for Staff Week, etc.)
- The following two forms must be completed and signed (preferably digitally signed) and sent as a PDF file to international[at]fh-burgenland.at:

During the mobility
- The following document must be completed by the host institution:
Erasmus+ Letter of Confirmation for Teaching Assignment or
Erasmus+ Letter of Confirmation for Staff Training.
After the mobility
- The respective Letter of Confirmation must be sent as a PDF file to international[at]fh-burgenland.at.
