Title: Kickstart for diversity

Location: Campus Eisenstadt

Date: 06 March 2024

Time: 5.30 pm

To mark International Women's Day, FH Burgenland and the Department of Women, Anti-Discrimination and Equal Treatment of the Province of Burgenland are inviting Viktoria Schnaderbeck - former captain of the Austrian national football team - to discuss gender and diversity.

We want to know from Viki:

How have women's football and the structures within it changed since the start of her career? What personal "high and low lights" have been particularly formative for her? What parallels can be drawn from women's football to male-dominated areas in the economy? And what does diversity actually have to do with team performance?

In a Q&A afterwards, she will also answer questions from the audience and will be happy to sign a few autographs on your footballs.

After the event, we will bring the evening to a relaxed close with drinks and finger food and offer space for networking.

Please register for the Gender & Diversity Talk by 29.2.2024

After the event, we will end the evening with drinks and finger food and offer space for networking.

For over 20 years, the Eisenstadt computer science, IT and open source community has been meeting at the end of April for talks, news and discussions about "Free Software for All" and more.

Because when various crises cast their shadow over the data space, it once again shows how important our autonomy is in the realm of computing, software and information.

Free software will play an important role in providing the right tools for this and actively shaping the future of cyberspace ourselves.

With this in mind, we are once again organising the "Linux Weeks Eisenstadt" this year:

Time: Friday, 19.4.2024 at 14.00
Saturday, 20.4.2024 at 10.00

Place: University of Applied Sciences Burgenland in Eisenstadt.

Free admission, no registration.

The event is also expected to be streamed live.

Details on streaming and participation will be available in good time at https://eisenstadt.linuxwochen.at

The Eisenstadt Linux Weeks have been organised by the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland together with the Internetclub Burgenland for many years.

Open source technology is of course used extensively in the technical degree programmes at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences, as it enables students to gain an insight into the "blueprints of software", modify them and use them to develop new technologies, new solutions and new business areas.

So make a date and come along!

At the Linuxwochen Eisenstadt 2024.

Lecturer: Nicole Trimmel

When Nicole Trimmel gets into the ring, her opponents have little to laugh about. The power woman from Oslip (Bgld) is the reigning world and European champion in kickboxing and has been in "competition retirement" since 2017. Sport is her passion, kickboxing her calling. She was at the top of the world in kickboxing for over ten years and dominated the market like no other. From 1999 to 2017, she won an incredible 8 World Championship titles and 5 European Championship titles. A tough woman in a dangerous sport with a keen interest in achieving her personal best. As a role model for success, sport and lifestyle, she inspires people and, above all, many women. She holds workshops in Germany and abroad and founded her own company, TRIM-FIT GmbH, in 2023. In her talks, she bridges the gap between sport and business. In October 2017, Nicole ends her long list of successes in her 408 Fight. With a "ONE LAST FIGHT" in front of 1,400 spectators in her home town of Oslip, Nicole ends her career and fulfils a long-awaited dream with this event. Let the charisma of a champion inspire you.
