The digitalisation of the diverse and multi-layered processes of an organisation and the associated new access to teaching, research and work of a university - together with its complex networking in society, business, education and research - has become one of the essential challenges of the 21st century for tertiary educational institutions. On the one hand, they are part of this profound change, often referred to as the "4th Industrial Revolution", and on the other hand, they assume a pioneering role for the design, implementation and development in this sustainable change.
