Campus Eisenstadt

Eisenstadt, small but mighty...

The study centre in Eisenstadt, with around 10,000 square metres of floor space, is modern and generously equipped. The campus has lecture theatres of various sizes with good technical equipment, seminar and PC rooms, an excellently stocked library with information terminals and a directly connected student hall of residence as well as parking facilities in front of the building. The fitness centre, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance.

The expansive lecture theatre wing ensures a recognisable significance and makes an inviting gesture that is visible from afar. The paths in the building are short and interwoven like a network. Again and again you come across recreation areas and beautiful views.

A sensory laboratory is available to students in the field of economics for studies in market research and sensor technology. The Information Technology and Information Management department recently set up its own media lab. Projects relating to e-communication, e-learning, media and knowledge management are carried out at an international level.

Eisenstadt, the baroque city on the sunny southern slopes of the Leitha Mountains, is Austria's youngest provincial capital with over 14,800 inhabitants. Eisenstadt can boast of being the home of famous personalities such as the composer Joseph Haydn and the Esterházy princes.

Eisenstadt and its surroundings offer a wide range of leisure activities, e.g. castle park, Haydn Conservatory, outdoor pool, indoor pool, ice skating rink, tennis courts, fitness centres and many other facilities for sporting and cultural activities. Lake Neusiedl, the largest steppe lake in Europe and known above all as a recreational and nature reserve, is ideal for surfing, swimming and ice skating and can be reached in just 15 minutes from Eisenstadt.

A young and lively event scene enriches student life, especially in the summer months. The Novarock Festival in Nickelsdorf, the Lovely Days Wiesen as well as the Lake Festival Mörbisch or the Opera Festival St. Margarethen offer variety and fun.
