Over the past 30 years, FH Burgenland, with its campuses in Eisenstadt and Pinkafeld, has not only established itself as an educational institution throughout Austria. It is also one of the best employers in Austria.
Eisenstadt, 26 March 2024 - UAS Burgenland has once again scored highly in this year's ranking of "Austria's 300 Best Employers", this time even making it to 56th place. This is the third time since 2021 that the university has been ranked among the top 100 companies. "This once again recognises our special atmosphere and our cooperative, appreciative culture at FH Burgenland," says FH Burgenland Managing Director Georg Pehm.
More than 1,400 Austrian companies with at least 200 employees from 20 different sectors were analysed in the trend ranking, which was compiled together with Statista and the kununu and Xing platforms. Over 230,000 reviews were included in the ranking. Burgenland Energie is the only other Burgenland-based company among the top 300 companies in Austria, in 196th place.
The Burgenland University of Applied Sciences is particularly pleased with its fifth place among the top ten educational institutions in the country. First place went to the Vienna University of Technology and second place to the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna.

UAS Burgenland repeatedly receives very positive feedback for its employee-friendly working environment. Just a few weeks ago, the university was honoured by the Burgenland Chamber of Commerce as a "family-friendly company" in Burgenland for its numerous measures to create a family-friendly environment. As an employer, the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences also actively supports its employees in the context of workplace health promotion.
The importance of the university for Burgenland and the business location was recently confirmed by a survey conducted with GfK. Over 900 people were surveyed, including the general population in Burgenland, Vienna and the neighbouring political districts as well as students and lecturers at the university. Nine out of ten respondents are convinced that UAS Burgenland has a positive influence on Burgenland and the business location. Almost 100% of lecturers and students appreciate the interesting range of programmes on offer
