Eisenstadt: Small but striking
Eisenstadt rests at the foot of the Leitha Hills and, with its 14,674 inhabitants, is one of Austria’s smallest federal state capitals. Despite the city’s small size, it was once one of the Esterházy royal capitals and has much to offer, including late Gothic arcades, Baroque facades, the Esterházy castle, the beautiful St Martin’s Cathedral and the heritage-protected old town.
Just 15 minutes from Eisenstadt, students will find yet another reason why studying here is so enjoyable, namely the recreation and conservation area around Lake Neusiedl, Europe’s largest steppe lake.
