Cutting Edge Technologies & Concepts for Future Buildings

Deutsche Homepage

Besides broad implementation of Zero-Emission-Buildings, establishment of Plus-Energy-Buildings till 2020 is a goal for the European Union on the building sector. To unburden the environment, energy efficiency of buildings shall be increased and the application of renewable energy systems in combination with energy storage systems for heating/cooling, hot water and electricity shall be accelerated.

By developing the electric grid to a smart grid, new challenges are coming up for buildings. Dedicated components and their operation and control strategies taking energy markets into consideration play a decisive role.

Furthermore, for construction of trendsetting buildings, integrative and cooperative planning is indispensible. In a final step, inclusion of ecological aspects by holistic balancing of each production and converting chain in the course of processing of raw materials, construction of the building and deconstruction shall be taken in account.
